Richard Davis’ interest in modern home design has come full circle. He started his practice designing modern additions to traditional homes in the Park Cities. “No one wanted modern back then,” Davis says. Having trained at Princeton University under renowned postmodernist, Michael Graves, he now has the opportunity to design multiple modern homes. “We try to make the plans function and flow, bring natural light into at least two sides of every room, and take advantage of views to the site from the house,” he says. Clients love that Davis draws the plans for their home right in front of them. This allows them to see the design as it evolves, and he uses their input to capture their dreams. He spends great effort on making the plans as perfect as possible. “Refine, refine, refine,” he says.
Davis and his team are service-oriented and share a passion for designing homes that please their clients, whatever style they prefer.
