Ted Bainbridge

PRESIDENT & CEO

Ted graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance. He founded his first publishing company in 1995 and started BUILD Magazine in 2016. Ted is passionate about working with clients and his team to build strong brands that can sustain various economies. He firmly believes that there is no destination called "success" and that we should enjoy every step of the journey called “life.” He and his wife, Leslie, have traveled to every state and every province in Canada, which gives him a unique perspective on understanding different cultures. He realizes we all have value and can learn from one another when we listen. Ted loves to golf with Leslie in his spare time, and they go everywhere with their two Westies, Maddie and Clark. They have two adult children that they have traveled the world with.

Leslie Bainbridge

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Leslie was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, and has lived in Toronto; Bend, OR; and now Scottsdale, AZ. She developed a love for running a business after receiving her marketing diploma from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Leslie is passionate about golf, travel and food. She is frequently found on the golf course with her husband, Ted, and loves to play and watch various sports. When not found on the links, Leslie cooks and bakes for family and friends, who comment that she frequently runs a "bed & breakfast" when they visit. She and Ted have two adult children, Laura and Stuart, and two Westies, Maddie and Clarke, who are firmly in charge of their home.

Dan Singer

NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER | WHITEFISH PUBLISHER | BIG SKY PUBLISHER

Dan grew up on the beaches of Laguna Beach, CA. He attended Arizona State University and graduated with a degree in communications and marketing. In 1984, he began his professional career with Nike and worked as a footwear executive for the next 34 years. He and his wife, Patti, moved to Columbia Falls, MT, in 2013 to start a new career in real estate investing. Dan joined BUILD Magazine in 2018 and has been strategically involved over the past five years in growing the brand from five markets to over 16 luxury markets. He enjoys golfing, coaches the local high school golf team, and serves as a ski host ambassador in Whitefish, MT, giving private ski tours.

Ronda Barzilay

BRAND MANAGER | CANADIAN PUBLISHER

Ronda is your person if you want something done right and with an infectious attitude. This 1991 Canadian Women’s Speed Skiing Champion has over 35 years of experience in marketing, branding, sales and publishing and loves connecting with people personally and professionally. She also worked as a professor in the marketing department at Thompson Rivers University in Canada, where she found great satisfaction and pride in mentoring a new generation of business professionals. Ronda lives in Kelowna, BC, where she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Mason, and their dog Eddie.

Richard Morton

PRODUCTION MANAGER

Richard grew up in southern California and began his career in the environmental services industry in the 1980s. His work varied from field technician to field supervisor, and he achieved state certification as a Registered Environmental Assessor. He has been with Here & Now since moving to central Oregon in 2001, where he started as an office staff member and is currently employed as production manager. Richard also acts as company tech and software support in the corporate office in Bend, OR. He is happily married and has two dogs.

Annie Allard-Lane

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR, CIRCULATION

Annie was born and educated in the Northeastern US, where she received a BFA and minor in Creative Writing from Alfred University in New York. She also received an AAS in Media Arts and Graphic Design from Santa Fe Community College. Annie has been fortunate to have lived in many stunning locations, from Key West to Santa Fe and Santa Cruz to Bend.

Annie co-owned a home restoration company and a luxury flooring store in Colorado. She raised her two sons in Colorado before moving to Oregon in 2017. Her hobbies include caring for her five dogs, cooking, hiking, skiing, traveling, and seeing live music with her adult children and wonderful tribe of friends.

Laura Bainbridge

MARKETING MANAGER

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Laura grew up in Bend Oregon. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Oregon and a Masters degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management. In high school she spent a year in Bolivia studying and learning to speak Spanish. Laura spent much of her career in supply chain in the aerospace industry before joining the BUILD team and moving back into her passion of marketing. Outside of work, Laura is involved in volunteering as a member of the Junior League of Phoenix. Additionally, she enjoys golfing, baking, watching sports, and traveling.

Kate Calilung

ACCOUNTING

Kate is a financial wizard with a knack for crunching numbers and a keen eye for detail. She works as a bookkeeper to support BUILD Magazine's overall accounting activities and makes the books spotlessly clean. When not buried in her spreadsheets, Kate can be found with her nose in a self-help book or playing with her furry ball of a dog named Lily.

Susan Butler

ART DIRECTOR

Susan is a seasoned design professional with a Master’s Degree from the University of Waterloo. She left the fast-paced agency world in Ontario, Canada to dabble in the legendary ski bum culture of Whistler, BC. After a gap year as Chief Pizza Toppings Engineer at a local Whistler cafe, snowboarding competitively and DJing, she returned to corporate life, joining the Whistler Blackcomb ski resort as Senior Designer. In this role, she developed some of the resort’s most iconic brands. Opportunities in adventure sports and real estate led Susan to form her own design collective, where she led a team of overachievers to create brands in global mountain biking events and luxury real estate. For the last 5 years, Susan has been at the helm of design for BUILD Magazine and she still dabbles in the ski bum lifestyle.

Nancy Erdmann

EDITOR

A seasoned writer and editor in the publishing industry with more than 25 years of experience writing about interior and exterior design, Nancy is well-versed in what it takes to bring a project to the forefront of the media. A Milwaukee, WI, native, she earned her bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After working in Dallas, TX, and Seattle, WA, she landed in Phoenix, AZ, 32 years ago and has served as both editor and writer for several design-oriented local and regional magazines. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, biking, walking, beading and decorating.

Christine Russell

PALM BEACH PUBLISHER

Christine studied business administration at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. She has a passion for fashion and design and worked as a rep in the fashion industry and the building products and interior design industries. Raised in South Florida, she now lives in Jupiter, FL, where she enjoys taking her two doodles to the beach, raising her teenage daughter and spending time with family and friends. Additionally, Christine loves to decorate, travel to the islands and network with people in the industry.

Kristi Fentress

SEATTLE | BELLEVUE PUBLISHER

A West Coast native, Kristi was born in Alaska and lived in California and Arizona before making Seattle, WA, her home. She graduated from Central Washington University with a public relations and business management degree, followed by eight years in the residential building industry as director of marketing and business operations for a luxury home builder. This experience has allowed her to build stronger relationships with design partners she worked with prior to BUILD Magazine and discover new talents. In her free time, Kristi enjoys working out, being a “foodie,” and spending time with her husband and two kids.

Amanda Klingman

BEND PUBLISHER

Originally from California, Amanda moved to Bend, OR, two decades ago. She worked with a local newspaper there, starting in advertising sales and moving up to sales manager. Amanda is creative and loves working with her clients. Relationships are at the forefront of her DNA. Her husband is in the building industry, and they often bounce ideas off each other. When Amanda is not working, she is a very involved, dedicated mother of two, enjoys brainstorming with her girlfriends over a glass of wine and has a passion for the outdoors.

Serese Kudar

JACKSON HOLE PUBLISHER

Serese attended San Diego State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in marketing and public relations. Her organizational and communication skills allow her to effectively manage and implement unique marketing and public relation campaigns that foster client relationships. For more than 18 years, she worked as an independent marketing and sales professional assisting non-profit organizations and private businesses. In Jackson Hole, WY, she garnered clients in the real estate, tourism, small business, construction, and special events sectors. A Wyoming native, loving wife and mother of three, Serese enjoys exploring the outdoors, chasing live music, farm-fresh dining and sharing her love of hot yoga.

Charity Christiansen

PARK CITY PUBLISHER

Throughout her 17-year career in media, marketing and advertising, Charity developed a talent for collaborating with others in hopes of helping shape a better future. She has worked with designers and businesses nationwide and gained a reputation for delivering exceptional results. Charity lives in Park City, UT, where she gets to take her noteworthy skills to a new level. During her free time, Charity indulges in her love of skiing, sampling new culinary delights and exploring the world through travel.

Mia Goldenson

SCOTTSDALE PUBLISHER

A life-long learner, Mia earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and art history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was selected to study Italian and the Renaissance at the historic Villa Corsi Salviati in Florence, Italy. She engaged in the art world on the gallery side and as an art consultant for private collectors, which gave her a unique perspective on advertising design. For the past 20 years, she has worked diligently in the publishing and advertising fields, building strong relationships with local and national clients. In her free time, Mia enjoys traveling and skiing with her family and describes herself as a news junkie, lover of all gummy candy and community supporter. She lives in Scottsdale, AZ.

Lana Linhart

HAWAII PUBLISHER

This University of Utah graduate received two bachelor's degrees, one in economics and another in environmental science. Lana resides in Kailua Kona, HI, and once lived on an island in Northern Vietnam and worked as a rock-climbing guide. She loves to ski, travel, work in the garden and keep up with current events. She also does freelance landscape design, specializing in tropical settings. In 2020, she and her husband built their home in Hawaii, which they share with their Catahoula dog, Bowie. Being a mom and an auntie is high on her happiness list.

Monica Bussell

DALLAS PUBLISHER

Monica is a powerhouse of creative energy and drive with 13 years of experience in the radio industry. Delivering innovative marketing/advertising strategies and presenting creative, exclusive campaigns to her clients is what drives her. She has extensive sales and management experience in the sports industry and served as sales director for Citadel Broadcasting in New Orleans. Monica resides in Dallas, TX, and in her free time, she is involved in the Girl Scouts and teaches English to immigrants every other Saturday.

Liz Biswurm

NAPLES PUBLISHERS

Liz is a graduate of the University of Memphis. Since 2007, she worked as a broker/realtor in high-end residential markets in Florida. A resident of Naples, FL, she enjoys working with clients, bringing them together within their markets and expanding their partnerships. Liz loves spending time with her husband and two daughters traveling and enjoying the outdoors, visiting beaches, boating, kayaking, running, traveling for her children’s team sports, and rooting on her favorite professional and college sports teams.
