An Indoor-Outdoor Sanctuary Planned with Wellness in Mind

When the owners hired David Lewis Builder to bring their dream home to life, they arrived with a clear and intentional vision. Green Acres was imagined as a sanctuary—one that blended indoor and outdoor living, fostered wellness, and celebrated its natural lakeside setting. Their goals were multifold: create seamless transitions between spaces, design a pool that visually connects to the lake, select low-VOC materials throughout, and establish an overall environment centered on health, comfort, and longevity.

From the beginning, every material selection was guided by wellness. The owners also required uninterrupted access to clean water and dependable power, regardless of weather conditions. To fulfill this request, David Lewis Builder installed a 2,000- gallon stainless-steel water tank paired with additional backup generators capable of supplying electricity and pumping water in the event of an unexpected outage.

Outdoor living is central to the home’s character. A generous outdoor kitchen, a relaxing swing bench, and a stunning infinity-edge pool—designed to blur the boundary between pool and lake—create a truly resort-like atmosphere. A dramatic sliding glass wall pockets completely out of sight, opening the great room to the outdoors with ease. Throughout the home, floor-to-ceiling windows capture sweeping lake views, reinforcing the home’s deep connection to its natural surroundings. Above it all, the bonderized standing-seam metal roof will naturally patina over time, lending texture and character to the exterior architecture.

Inside, wellness continues to define the living experience. The great room features a sculptural fireplace crafted from rolled steel and Dekton, while lightly stained rift white oak flooring adds warmth and elegance across key living spaces. The theater offers a quiet retreat, and the private office showcases custom wallpaper and a coffered ceiling accented with soft uplighting. Owners and guests benefit from a Lutron Ketra lighting system that mimics natural circadian rhythms, further enhancing comfort and overall well-being.

At the heart of the home is a thoughtfully designed kitchen featuring Eggersmann cabinetry with rollout shelving, custom designed drawers, and baker’s cupboards—details that elevate both beauty and function.

Recreation is equally prioritized. The expansive multi-purpose sport court accommodates pickleball, basketball, and tennis, with abundant storage for equipment, furniture, and accessories. Tables, chairs, and sporting gear are neatly organized in adjacent closets to keep the space clean and ready for play.

With wellness, durability, and luxury as guiding principles, David Lewis Builder not only fulfilled the owners’ vision for Green Acres—they surpassed it.
