Monica Ament is a Big Island interior designer located in Holualoa Town’s Coffee & Art District. I focus on luxury residential interior design, hospitality and construction project management. Each one of my projects are uniquely their own. My design approach is a blend of my clients’ individual needs and personal style, taking account of their unique backgrounds and lifestyle, being mindful of the architecture of each space, and layered with my own design style and expertise.
I am notable for my signature island living aesthetic which consists of bold ocean colors and natural textures, as seen in my design with Umekes Restaurant located in Kailua-Kona, however my own personal Big Island style, which honors the natural beauty of this island, its history, and its people, is what I gravitate to. Utilizing colors, textures, and finishes found on Big Island within its land and honoring its rich culture.
With a genuine connection and love for Hawai’i, supporting the Big Island community is one of my core values, as we are all connected. As a designer and business owner, I hope I leave a positive impact within our community through the ripples of great design.
