For these Connecticut based owners the request to bring the “Hamptons to Naples” was all they needed to say to John Cooney of Stofft Cooney Architects. John Cooney was born and raised in East Hampton was the right designer for this job! This family compound consists of a beach front main house with nearly 150 feet of water frontage facing the Gulf of Mexico, which allows the homeowner private access to miles of pristine white sand beach and vibrant sunsets every night.
Enjoy captivating water views from nearly every room with generous entertaining areas inside and out. Designed to be a family beach vacation home with resort like amenities there are 2 pools, one being a plunge pool with a waterslide, the other a large lap pool and spa, as well as, a multifunctional sport court and a real wood burning firepit and pizza oven at ground level. The elevated spa off the first floor living space is the best place to be while enjoying the bright Floridian sunsets. Other fun features include an exercise room, ping pong and fusbal tables, and a game room complete with a bar decorated with NY Yankees Memorabilia.
The guest and caretaker house across the street on the Naples Bay allows them swift access out of Gordon Pass and into the Gulf of Mexico where they enjoy fishing and water sports with their 4 children. The interior finishes in all 3 homes have been kept casual and reflect traditional coastal cottage architectural styles offering board and batten, shiplap panelling and exposed rafters with tongue and groove ceiling details.
